Aykut Yeşil is an internationally recognized expert in anti-dumping, with a proven track record of resolving complex trade disputes and challenging unfair trade practices. With nearly a decade of specialized experience, he combines advanced methodological and analytical expertise with practical strategies to deliver optimal outcomes in anti-dumping investigations. Aykut’s deep knowledge of anti-dumping methodologies, particularly those employed by the U.S. such as "zeroing" and the Cohen’s d test, enables him to provide groundbreaking analytical critiques. His unique approach integrates global trade theories, econometric modeling, and statistical tools to expose flaws in these methodologies and offer evidence-based defenses for companies. His ability to analyze raw material price dynamics and industry-specific cost structures further strengthens his clients’ positions in trade disputes. Academically, Aykut has built a strong foundation that underpins his professional expertise. He graduated in 2009 as the second-ranking student in Economics from Middle East Technical University (METU) and earned a diploma in Corporate Finance in 2008. He holds a Master’s degree in Economics from Tilburg University, completed with a full scholarship. In 2018, he earned another Master’s degree from Galatasaray University, where his thesis became a pioneering analytical study of U.S. anti-dumping methodologies. This work, integrating advanced macroeconomic, international trade, and statistical analyses, is widely recognized for its practical contributions to competition authorities in calculating dumping margins. Currently pursuing a Ph.D. at Istanbul Technical University (ITU), Aykut focuses on developing innovative, data-driven solutions to counter the systemic impact of unfair trade practices on developing economies. His research aims to redefine global trade investigation standards and contribute to a fairer and more transparent trade governance framework. Aykut’s vision extends beyond resolving individual cases; he is dedicated to creating sustainable systems that strengthen national economic resilience and empower companies to proactively protect their interests. Guided by the belief that knowledge grows through sharing, he strives to build a global network of experts capable of safeguarding economic interests in an ever-evolving trade landscape.
